Shabbat and Something Starting Soon!
I love summer and find that they, proverbially, go by too quickly. I try to get outside a whole lot and, in fact, that is my Shabbat goal this week: to get down to the beach, watch the sunset, and just…. be. Do you set goals for how you’ll find some rest each Shabbat? The Bingo sheet below might help! Each week we get a chance at doing something special and meaningful! Go for it!
I also want to drop a little breadcrumb or two about something that I’ve been working on. During summer in addition to hanging out at beaches and in forests, I tend to do a whole lot of prep for the Jewish High Holidays each fall. My summer days get filled with the exciting work of preparing for a new year, something that serves me spiritually. To be honest, I often find the prep for the High Holidays more meaningful than the holidays themselves. And this year I want you to join me in that prep and process!
Next month I’m launching a program for the Jewish month of Elul, meant to be a time for introspection and study to get ready for the Jewish year to come. I think you are going to LOVE this program. I’m in love with it just seeing it laid out on paper. My goal? Let’s take this time when everything is upside down and use it to foster a meaningful shift or transformation in our lives and world. More info coming soon. I can’t wait!
But, for now, Shabbat Shalom! Let’s make it mean something.
